Your gift helps the Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics attract the very best minds and foster collaboration, while building on the University of Chicago tradition of cultivating extraordinary and influential economic research.
Unrestricted gifts provide vital support for our core activities:
- visiting scholars
- programming for students and young researchers
- direct research support, and
- the dissemination of powerful new ideas.
You can make a gift of any amount online. Select “Becker Friedman Institute” under Area of Support.
Another important way to invest in the future of Chicago economics is to contribute to the Hall for Economics, our new home. Opened in mid-2014, this beautifully updated and restored structure is now the nexus of dynamic discussion and debate that is a hallmark of Chicago economics.
To sustain our work in the future, we also seek endowed gifts that support the Institute in perpetuity. Gifts of $100,000 or more may be directed to an endowed research fund. Additional opportunities are also available to support fellowships, a visiting scholar, special initiatives, and other long-term needs. Please contact Suzanne Riggle at 773.834.2524 to learn more.
We gratefully acknowledge all the generous donors and sponsors who have contributed to the institute's work. With your support, the institute will continue to generate insights that address significant economic and social policy issues.
