Congratulations to Booth's Douglas W. Diamond, who was awarded the Onassis Prize in Finance

"Doug is a terrific choice for this Prize. He has made truly fundamental contributions to the impact of banking on economic activity and to the field of corporate finance more generally. He is a truly creative researcher, and a penetrating scholar who has provided a very thoughtful perspective on economic policy in the wake of the financial crisis." - Lars Peter Hansen, the David Rockefeller Distinguished Service Professor of Economics.

The triennial Onassis 2018 Prizes (in Finance; in International Trade; in Shipping) announcement took place on Friday 20th April 2018 at the Mansion House, the official office of the Lord Mayor of the City of London. The announcement was made by the Lord Mayor Aldermanic Representative, Mr Alderman David Graves.
