Alberto Bisin is a professor of economics at New York University and fellow of IGIER at Bocconi University and of CIREQ at the University of Montreal. He is also fellow of the Center for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) at NYU. He is associate editor of the Journal of Economic Theory, of Economic Theory, and of Research in Economics. He is the founding editor of Noisefromamerika.org and contributes op-eds for the italian newspaper La Repubblica. His main contributions are in the fields of general equilibrium theory, financial economics, behavioral economics, and social economics. He is a co-editor of the Handbook of Social Economics.

Bisin holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He did his undergraduate work at Universitá Bocconi.
