Graham Elliott teaches at the University of California, San Diego, where his principle research focus is on econometrics. He focuses on producing statistical methods that are designed to answer questions of interest in economics. His recent research includes looking at forecast combinations and nearly optimal tests.
Elliott is the editor of the Handbook of Economic Forecasting. He has also been involved with the creation of computer programs that deal with the DF-GLS test (1996, Econometrica) and the qll statistic of Elliott and Mueller (2006, Review of Economic Studies). Elliott is a research associate with the Australian National University's Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis.
Elliott previously has been a Visiting Professor at Princeton University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University. He received his BComm from the University of New South Wales in Australia, and his PhD from Harvard.
