Robert Metcalfe is a postdoctoral scholar in economics at Chicago Experiments. His research is directed toward developing and testing economic and behavioral theory using field experiments. He is currently conducting and managing research projects across a number of domains, including energy, taxation, healthcare, and education. He has won more than $5 million in research funding, and has been involved in field experiments with governments and several companies with a total value of more than $1 billion.
He was previously a research fellow in economics at the University at Oxford. He holds a doctorate from Imperial College London and a master's degree from the London School of Economics.
