While COVID-19 prevented the inaugural EDE program from convening in-person, participants developed lasting relationships through opportunities to network with each other, EDE and BFI staff and faculty, and special invited guests. Following the summer institute, EDE fall programming included career development workshops with special invited guests from the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Northern Trust, and the BFI Predoctoral Research in Economics Program (PREP). Spring programming will further cultivate interest in a wide variety of opportunities in economics for the 2021 cohort.
