As the global health situation involving the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, the Becker Friedman Institute and Pearson Institute, with guidance from the University of Chicago’s Office of the Provost, have decided that the best course of action is to cancel Development Lunch Seminars for the remainder of the academic year. We recognize that this decision comes at a cost in terms of foregone opportunities to discuss research and engage in productive academic conversations, but the public health risks raised by the coronavirus outbreak and the safety of our visitors and staff are our top priority.

The Development Lunch Seminars are operated with support from the Becker Friedman Institute and The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts and is a collaboration between University of Chicago Department of Economics, Booth School of Business, Harris Public Policy and the Law School.
