2015 Economic Research Experience for Undergraduates

This program offers undergraduate students an opportunity to learn about diverse research topics and methods from some of the University's top economists, while developing their own research and data analysis skills.

The annual program is presented by the Department of Economics' Undergraduate Program and the Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics. Open to college students working on campus as summer research assistants in the University of Chicago Department of Economics, Booth School of Business, Harris School of Public Policy, or Law School, REU is designed to be compatible with the work schedule of a campus research assistant.

The program included faculty research presentations held during lunch hours and working sessions covering specific research tools and software. These sessions were offered for students at intermediate and advanced levels.

REU is co-sponsored by the Becker Friedman Institute, the Department of Economics Undergraduate Program, and the CME Group Foundation.
