The Education Finance Conference held on May 13-14, 2025, will specialize in the academic research surrounding the financing of higher education. Our purpose is to provide a platform for experts from various backgrounds to share their insights on the latest research in the area. Topics that will be covered include student loans, financial aid, and university financing. In addition, the conference will provide a forum for discussion on the latest research and innovative practices in education finance and recent policy proposals (e.g., Biden administration’s debt forgiveness plan recently blocked by the US Supreme Court). We invite scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to attend this conference and share their knowledge and experience on education finance. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research in education finance, engage with other experts in the field, and generate new ideas and perspectives. By bringing together experts from different backgrounds, we can develop a more comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing higher education financing today.
This conference is by invitation only. If you have any questions, please reach out to bfi-events@uchicago.edu.
