On April 25, Professor Jens Ludwig presented his research, “Algorithms and Public Policy: Opportunities and Risks.”
Algorithms (in some form) are commonly used in policymaking, which creates both opportunities and risks. In this talk, Professor Jens Ludwig provided an overview of the potential benefits and costs of using AI in public policy, and the role that economists and other social scientists can play in shaping the impact of algorithms by improving the tools used to build them.
