The CIC, founded in 2007, serves as China’s sovereign wealth fund, to serve as a vehicle for diversifying China’s foreign exchange holdings. Prior to joining the CIC, Bin Qi held several senior positions with the China Securities Regulatory Commission. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Tsinghua University and an MBA from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
