Developing Asia’s economic prospects are markedly improving on the rapid re-opening in the PRC and continued recovery from the pandemic. The reopening of the PRC will boost regional growth through tourism, demand for goods and services, and supply chain linkages. But global financial conditions continue to present financial stability risks, and uncertainty over the Russian invasion of Ukraine persists. ADB’s Chief Economist Albert Park discusses these developments drawing upon ADBs flagship report Asian Development Outlook 2023.

This presentation is hosted by the Harris School of Public Policy’s Center for Economic Policy, and is intended for University of Chicago faculty, students and staff.
