Price theory combines theoretical and empirical analysis to better understand economic decision-making. This powerful tool is an essential approach for examining health and the function of health care markets and policies.

This first annual conference brought  together a set of scholars pursuing this line of research to foster collaboration and evaluation of current research. Several of the papers presented combined theory with analysis of important new datasets to understand issues such as pricing differences, the impact of competition, and the benefits of costly medical innovations.
