Foundational Research on Health Care Markets and Policies

Fellowship Awardees

To stimulate innovative research in health economics, the Becker Friedman Institute's health economics research initiative offers predoctoral fellowships and research grants for postdoctoral scholars on an annual basis. The fellowships are meant to encourage original inquiry that will deepen our understanding of health and health care markets and how they relate to the overall economy. Fellows will conduct and collaborate in research on the economics of health and health care and interact with a large network of other economics scholars at the institute and throughout the University of Chicago. Awardees from other organizations will be based at their home institution but will likely visit the Becker Friedman Institute during the course of the grant period.
