In 2019, we reached new milestones, launching new websites for both BFI and BFI-China, hosting creative events, continuing to grow our support for groundbreaking research, and increasing our reach and impact. Below, we’ve collected just a few highlights from the year.

Exciting New Program

Thanks to a generous new gift from the Saieh Family Fund, BFI launched the Saieh Family Fellows in Economics program in order to bring together leading, early-career economists to take part in UChicago’s field-defining approach to economic scholarship. Learn More ›

The Tsinghua University – University of Chicago Joint Research Center for Economics and Finance launched its inaugural call for research proposals, which will result in innovative research on the Chinese economy. Learn More ›
