Bart Lipman is a decision theorist and game theorist with research interests at the intersection of language and economics.
Before becoming the the chair of the Department of Economics at Boston University, he held positions at Microsoft, Harvard University, Queen’s University, Carnegie Mellon University, the London School of Economics, and the University of Pennsylvania.
He is on the board of editors for the American Economic Review and is an associate editor for Theoretical Economics and Econometrica. Lipman has been published in Journal of Mathematical Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, American Economic Review, and Games and Economic Behavior among others.
Lipman holds a bachelor’s from Memphis State University and a PhD from the University of Michigan.
