Giorgio E. Primiceri is a current professor of Economics at Northwestern University where he had previously worked as an Assistant, then Associate professor. He is the current co-editor of the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics and a consultant for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago while previously acting as the Associate Editor for the Review of Economic Studies from October 2016 until March 2017.

His research interests include macroeconomics, monetary policy, fiscal policy, econometrics, banking, and credit risks.

After completing his undergraduate in Economics at Bocconi University, he earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University.
