Jaap Abbring’s current research interests include topics in econometrics—most notably, duration analysis, as well as the empirical analysis of firm and industry dynamics, imperfect information in insurance markets, and labor markets. He is a professor and center fellow at Tilburg University, a coeditor of the Econometrics Journal, an editorial board member of the Review of Economic Studies, and an associate editor of the Journal of Applied Econometrics and of Quantitative Economics. He received undergraduate and master’s degrees in econometrics from VU University Amsterdam and a PhD in economics from the Tinbergen Institute at the University of Amsterdam.
