Jiaying (Jessie) Liao

Jiaying (Jessie) Liao joined the Macro Finance Research (MFR) Program at the Becker Friedman Institute as a Predoctoral Research Professional, working with Professor Lars Peter Hansen. Jessie holds a Master’s degree in Computational Social Science with an Economics concentration from the University of Chicago. She also holds a B.Soc.Sc. in Economics, with a minor in Applied Mathematics, from the University of Macau. Her research interests span macro finance modeling, macroeconomics, economic growth, and political economy. Away from research, Jessie is a photographer who enjoys capturing urban landscapes and everyday moments through her lens.
