Jostin Kitmang is a PhD student in Education Policy and Program Evaluation at Harvard University. His interests lie in public economics and labor economics. He is exploring questions related to how optimal financial aid can improve college access, persistence, and labor market outcomes for low-income students, and the role of salary reforms on professors’ labor supply and students’ labor market outcomes in public universities. Before joining Harvard, Jostin served as a Research Manager at The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, Latin America and the Caribbean, as an economic consultant for the World Bank, and as an advisor to senior officials at Peru’s Ministry of Education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Universidad de Piura in Peru.
