Marco Tartaglia is a pre-doctoral fellow at EPIC, working with Professor Michael Greenstone on a randomized controlled trial that estimates the efficiency costs of electricity theft.
He holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BSc in International Economics and Finance from Università Bocconi, where he also spent a semester as a visiting student at UC Berkeley.
Prior to joining EPIC, he worked as a research assistant with Professor Tito Boeri in the Bocconi Department of Economics, researching the causes of youth unemployment and collaborating on a co-authored project studying the employment effects of minimum wages. Drawn by the deep social impact of these fields, his research interests span the intersection of labor and environmental economics.
In his free time, he enjoys sailing, tennis, and exploring the culinary scene.
“I am constantly amazed by the impact that EPIC research has. I truly feel that the intellectual spillovers and the challenges I encounter every day make this the ideal environment for a young researcher to grow. I am also grateful to have the opportunity to personally contribute to Professor Greenstone’s inspiring work.”
