Marine de Franciosi is a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC), working with the Climate Impact Lab.

She holds a BA in Economics from McGill University and an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
Prior to joining CIL, she worked at the World Bank on impact evaluations of social protection programs in the Sahel that aimed to strengthen household resilience to climate shocks, an experience that deepened her interest in pursuing research on the economic impacts of climate change.

Her research interests focus on how climate change shapes economic outcomes and inequality, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, and on how adaptation and resilience-building can mitigate those impacts. She is motivated by the prospect of generating rigorous, data-driven evidence to inform climate policy in contexts most exposed to climate risk.

In her free time, Marine enjoys reading, running and biking along Lake Michigan, and exploring Chicago.
