P. Richard Hahn is Visiting Associate Professor of Econometrics and Statistics from Arizona State University (ASU). He joined ASU after six years at Booth. His PhD is from the Duke University Department of Statistical Science. Before that he earned a masters degree in Mathematics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a bachelors degree in Philosophy of Science from Columbia University.

Professor Hahn develops novel statistical methods for analyzing data arising from the social sciences: psychology, economics, education, and business. His current focus revolves around causal inference using regression tree models, as well as foundational issues in Bayesian statistics.
