Jaffe is interested in a broad range of topics in applied theory. She has worked on projects in public finance, law and economics, matching, and industrial organization. Her recent research studied how technological advances in medicine affects quality-adjusted health care prices.
She received her PhD from Harvard University in 2015. Jaffe visited the Becker Friedman Institute as a predoctoral scholar for the 2012-2013 academic year. She also a member of the Becker Friedman Institute's Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Working Group, working within the Measuring and Interpreting Inequality network.
She obtained her bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Chicago in 2008.
