Stéphane Bonhomme’s research focuses on microeconometrics with a special interest in applications to labor economics.
Bonhomme is currently a professor of economics at the University of Chicago, whose faculty he joined in 2014. He has held previous posts as a professor at Spain's Center for Monetary and Financial Studies and New York University. Bonhomme has published his research in the Journal of Econometrics, Econometrica, and the Review of Economic Studies, and is currently researching functional first-differencing, quantile selection models, teacher turnover, and school characteristics, among other subjects.
He received both his master’s degree in macroeconomics and his PhD in economics from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
