Stephen Morris’s work spans the areas of game theory, finance, and mechanism design.
Prior to his current position at Princeton University, Morris was the Irving Fisher Professor of Economics at Yale University, the Ford Foundation Professor of Economics at Yale University, and an associate professor at University of Pennsylvania.
Morris has held a number of visiting positions at universities and organizations around the world, including the International Monetary Fund and the Center for Advanced Studies in Behavioral Sciences in Palo Alto. He is on the board of editors of the Journal of Economic Literature and previously served as the editor of Econometrica. He has been the recipient of a number of grants, awards, and fellowships and most recently served as a council member of the Game Theory Society.
Morris has a bachelor’s degree from Cambridge University and a PhD in economics from Yale University.
