Tao Zha is executive director of the Center for Quantitative Economic Research in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and professor of economics at Emory University. His major fields of study are macroeconomics and econometrics.
Zha has served on the editorial board for several journals. He has published in many journals, including Review of Economic Studies, Econometrica, American Economic Review, Brookings Papers on Economics Activities, and Journal of Political Economy.
He received his doctorate in economics from the University of Minnesota in 1993 and earned his master’s degree in economics from Washington State University in 1988. He received a master’s degree in statistics from the Southwest University of Economics and Finance and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the Chengdu University of Technology and Sciences in 1982.
