Vasco Carvalho

Vasco Carvalho works on macroeconomics, networks, and applied econometrics. Currently on leave as a junior researcher at Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREi), he also holds positions as a reader at the faculty of economics at the University of Cambridge and a research affiliate at CEPR. 

Carvalho has previously served as a visiting assistant professor at the Paris School of Economics and a lecturer in the University of Chicago department of economics. His awards include the British Academy's Wiley Prize in Economics, the European Research Council Starting Grant, University of Cambridge's Senior Keynes Fellowship, and UCLA's Center for Global Management Research Award. 

Carvalho received a PhD and an MA in economics from the University of Chicago and an MPhil in economics from University of Cambridge. He did his undergraduate work at ISEG-Technical University of Lisbon.
