Anders Humlum

Anders Humlum studies the economic impacts of automation technologies. His research focuses on three topics. First, he studies the distributional implications of industrial robots using administrative data that link workers, firms, and robots. Second, he explores the technology adoptions that drove the Second Industrial Revolution using newly-digitized microdata from the Census of Manufactures. Finally, he evaluates whether educational policies can help workers adjust to new technologies.

Humlum holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen. Prior to joining Booth in 2022, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Becker Friedman Institute.
