Giovanni Compiani’s research primarily focuses on industrial organization and quantitative marketing, with an emphasis on applying frontier econometric methods. His research has appeared in The Econometrics Journal, and is forthcoming in the Journal of Political Economy. Additionally, he has been cited in news outlets such as the Financial Times and ABC7.

Compiani earned PhD, MPhil, and MA degrees all in economics from Yale University. Additionally, he holds MSc and BSc degrees in economics from Bocconi University.

Prior to joining Booth, Compiani was an assistant professor at Haas School of Business where he taught courses in marketing analytics and microeconometrics.
