Carolyn Stein, an assistant professor at UC Berkeley, is currently a Saieh Family Fellow at the Becker Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago. She was previously a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and received her Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021.
Her research focuses on the economics of science and innovation.
