Alejandro Sabal is an economist whose research focuses on international trade and industrial organization. He received his PhD in Economics from Princeton University in 2025. He will join the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago as an Assistant Professor in 2026, following a year as a Cowles Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University.
