Francisco Roch is currently the Deputy Manager of Monetary Research at the Economic Research Division of CEMLA in Mexico City. He received his bachelor’s in economics from the Universidad del Cema in Buenos Aires and his M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago, where he was a recipient of the Estheer and T. W. Schultz Endowment fund Dissertation Fellowship, the Rosen Fellowship, the University of Chicago Unendowed Scholarship, and the Bradley Fellowship. He has previously worked in a number of capacities for the International Monetary Fund, including for the Western Hemisphere Department studying Colombia and Peru, and for the Economist Program – both based in Washington, DC.
