Gabriel Butler is a PhD student at Cornell University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and a minor in Japanese from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was an American Economic Association Summer Program fellow at Michigan State University, where he took PhD-level economics coursework. Before Cornell, he worked as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. His research interests are in health and labor economics, with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease, long-term care, and early-life conditions. He applied econometrics and machine learning methods, including working with genomic data to study health and economic trajectories.
