Irene Solmone is a third year PhD student in Economics at Bocconi University. Her interests lie in development economics, migration and labor. Her research aims to investigate how differences in bargaining power between groups translate into unequal opportunities for employment, earnings, and job quality, especially in settings where contract enforcement is weak. Before starting her PhD, she worked one year on migrant labour market outcomes at Centro Studi Luca d’Agliano, and one year as a field coordinator and research assistant at University Milan Bicocca.
