Matthew Eaton is a PhD student at Clemson University. His research interests lie in labor economics, the economics of education, and family economics, with a particular focus on postsecondary education decision-making. Currently, he is working on projects examining first-generation students and college matching, as well as the impact of gig work on involuntary part-time employment. Prior to his PhD, he worked as an economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics on the Producer Price Index.
