Nicholas Martens

Nicholas graduated from the University of Michigan in 2024 with highest honors in economics. He hopes to obtain a PhD in economics, focused on labor, education, and inequality across space and demographic groups. As a native Michigander, he’s particularly interested in crafting policy responses to deindustrialization and regional economic divergence.
