Xiang Liu

Xiang Liu is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Minnesota, where he also earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Economics. His research interests lie at the intersection of industrial organization, international trade, and growth and development. His current work focuses on the shipping industry, the transportation sector, and global supply chain networks, with particular attention to how they shape trade costs, trade policy, industrialization, and economic development in peripheral economies, using both theoretical and empirical approaches.
