Greg Kaplan is the Alvin H. Baum Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. Greg was previously Professor and Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Princeton University, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and an Economist in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He has held visiting positions at the University of New South Wales and the Reserve Bank of Australia. He is an Editor at the Review of Economic Dynamics, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Greg received a PhD from New York University in 2009, an MSc from the London School of Economics in 2002 and a BCom (Hons) from Macquarie University in 2000.
