Joy Dada is a Predoctoral Research Professional at DIL. She is currently supporting Professor Elisa Maffioli on the Water and Health Initiative, alongside assisting Professor Pablo Peña’s impact evaluation of the provision of eyeglasses on academic performance among public school students in Mexico. Previously, she was a research assistant (RA) for Professor Michael Kremer at DIL, and a RA at the Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institution where she researched US social welfare programs and licensing for healthcare professionals. Joy has also worked at the Office of State Senator Sara Feigenholtz, and as a RA with Professor of Special Education Robin McWilliam, interning at the Scottish Parliament and the Institute of Economic Affairs in London. Her work focuses on education and health programs, with an emphasis on early childhood interventions. She holds a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
