Maitri Punjabi is a PhD student in Economics at Michigan State University with research interests in energy policy, development, and political economy. Her current research focuses on consumer responses to electricity subsidies in India and behavioral frictions that attenuate the response. She is also interested in topics related to good governance and efficient public service delivery. Prior to joining the PhD program, Maitri worked on impact evaluations and supported fieldwork activities in the international education sector. She has a BS in Mathematical Decision Sciences and Economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
