Salpy Kanimian is a fourth-year PhD student in Economics at Rice University, with a major concentration in econometrics and quantitative economics. Before joining Rice University, she completed a dual degree in mathematics and economics at the American University of Beirut. Her main field of interest lies at the intersection of healthcare economics, industrial organization, and public economics. In her current research, she studies policy design in publicly funded and privately provided health insurance markets to enhance access and affordability of coverage.
