Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Houston. His research focuses broadly on economic mobility, with particular interests in the economics of education and labor economics. He studies how early-life educational environments and experiences shape long-run outcomes such as college enrollment, major choice, and earnings. Prior to beginning his PhD, he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from La Salle University.
