The 26th Macro Finance Society Workshop will be held on November 13-14, 2025, hosted and co-sponsored by the Macro Finance Research Program (MFR) led by Lars Peter Hansen at the University of Chicago. The workshop aims to bring together researchers whose work span both macroeconomics and finance. Special consideration will be given to papers authored by junior faculty members of The Society, as well as papers that have not been presented or scheduled for presentation at major conferences.

Distinguished speaker Gabriel Chodorow-Reich (Harvard University) will be joined by methods lecturers Zhengyang Jiang (Northwestern University, Kellogg) and Kilian Huber (University of Chicago).

The deadline for paper submissions to the conference has now passed.

PHD POSTER SESSION

In addition, we invite submissions from PhD students to present in a poster session. Students will prepare a 30×40 poster illustrating their current research and will be given the opportunity to present their work and get feedback from other attendees. If you have PhD students whose work in macro-finance is at a stage where it could benefit from exposure, please encourage them to submit a paper. We will award travel grants for students presenting a poster (accommodation at the conference rate plus up to $750 for transportation).
