Alexander Torgovitsky is a current Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. From 2011-2017, he was the Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. He has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant for the years of 2015-2018 and won the Zellner Thesis Award in Business and Economic Statistics in 2012. He earned his B.S. with highest honors in Mathematics from the University of California at Davis in 2006 and a Ph.D with distinction in Economics from Yale University in 2012.
