Ariel Listo is a third-year PhD student at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is an Applied Microeconomist with a focus on experimental and behavioral economics. His research spans topics such as decision-making under algorithmic recommendations, government spending and charitable contributions, and workplace discrimination toward the LGBTQ+ population in Latin America. Before his PhD, he was a pre-doctoral research professional at the University of Chicago working with Professor John List. Ariel holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Maine, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Thomas University.
