Daniel Fox is a Predoctoral Research Professional for the Macroeconomic Research Initiative, working under Dr. Greg Kaplan. He has worked on a variety of projects which include Heterogeneous Agent New Keynesian (HANK) models, monetary and fiscal policy with heterogeneity, and more recently the role that changes in markups play on the overall share of labor and on labor income inequality. His interest in macroeconomics began after seeing the effect the Great Recession had on his hometown and family. This eventually led him to participate in an intensive seven week Open Source Macroeconomics bootcamp, hosted by BFI, where he learned valuable computational tools used in macroeconomics research. Daniel received his B.S. from Brigham Young University, where he double majored in Economics and Mathematics.
