Daniela Fusco Alcaro is the co-founder and co-CEO of Stima Energia, a Brazilian energy trading company established in 2017, which reached more than USD 300 million in revenues in 2021. In 2022, Stima Energia received an investment from Mitsui & Co in exchange of 36% of the company.
Daniela is also a co-founder of two other clean energy startups in Brazil dedicated to solar generation and energy retail business and an angel investor of an energy tech dedicated to metering. She began her career in 1997 working in M&A, sales & trading and portfolio management roles in different financial institutions in Brazil, including Opportunity Asset Management and CCF-Credit Comercial de France. In 2006 she joined Walmart at the Treasury and Capital Markets team. In 2008, upon her return to Brazil, she started her endeavor in the energy sector as a trader in two different startups before launching her own energy trading company.
Daniela has a B.A. in Business Administration from ESPM and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2006). Daniela received a scholarship from Fundação Estudar to support her graduation degree and has a Brazilian portfolio manager certificate from ANBIMA (Brazilian Association of Equity and Capital Markets).
