Hyong-gu (Alex) Hwang is a Predoctoral Research Professional at the Becker Friedman Institute working with Professors Pietro Tebaldi and Alexander Torgovitsky. Hyong-gu assists with the development of statistical packages for demand estimation in discrete choice models and with projects analyzing the industrial organization of healthcare markets. His research interests are in household finance, educational inequality, and market structure and pricing. Hyong-gu graduated from The College of Wooster in 2020 with a double major in economics and mathematics.
