Isaac Liu is a Predoctoral Research Professional  working under Profs. Christina Patterson and Joe Vavra. He has worked on a variety of projects on topics such as unemployment insurance replacement rates during the Coronavirus pandemic, the path dependent effects of monetary policy on mortgage refinancing, and the phenomenon of national, firm-wide wage setting. His personal research interests are in public economics, development, and finance. Isaac received his BS from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where he majored in International Political Economy with a minor in Mathematics.
